Our founder, Angela Ardolino, knew the profound benefits of using hemp oil to treat her medical issues. But when she looked for safe, vegan, non-GMO, full-spectrum hemp formulated specifically for her dogs, she realized something: There wasn’t any.
Even worse: what few products she could find on the market contained industrialized hemp oil from other countries and lacked regulation or strict standards.
So she decided to change that.
Unlike other brands on the market, Hemp Dog Health products are created specifically with your pet in mind.
Our products contain Full Spectrum Hemp Extract — the compounds in the plant that create therapeutic results.
Hemp Dog Health products include: enriched hemp oils for separation anxiety or traveling needs, or more serious conditions like PTSD or pain from cancer, salves to treat dry skin for dogs and other ailments like hot spots and allergies, and all-natural pet treats. All of our products were made to effectively treat your pet holistically and naturally.
Our products are carefully formulated with all-natural ingredients and full spectrum hemp blends, so there is something here to benefit every pet. In addition, we guarantee potency and purity through third-party lab testing.
Made with a homeopathic blend, including turmeric, our new oral tinctures are created with hemp seed oil for extended absorption. Relief is not just skin deep with our salves, which are made specifically to nourish, heal, and prevent irritation to your pet’s skin. Our growing line of hemp for dogs and cats has something to help everyone.
We are passionate about helping your pet live their very best life. Because every dog deserves their day.
Hemp Dog Health is proud to share our growing line of holistic products for the well-rounded health of your dog, cat, horse, or any other pet. Because we care about your furry friends as much as you do.
Grown in the USA
No Pesticides or Herbicides
All of the hemp plants used in our products are grown 100 percent legally in the United States without the use of herbicides or pesticides. We know exactly what goes into our plants and our products, from start to finish. Once our hemp plants have been harvested, we extract our oils in-house using CO2 super critical extraction. This means we never use liquid solvents, like butane, isopropyl alcohol, or hexane.
Our products are full spectrum, which means that we do not use isolates—in our extraction process, we preserve as many components as possible. Through the preservation, the entourage effect can boost the healing benefits of every component. When they are combined, the effect is even stronger.
The essential oils we use are grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides and extracted by cold press or CO2 extraction.

FOUNDER/CEO ~ HOLISTIC DOG EXPERT ~ MEDICAL HEMP EXPERT
Mother of Odie the mini-schnauzer, Nina the Doberman, Jolene the mix breed mutt, 23 ducks, 19 chickens, 9 geese, 1 bunny and a pig at her rescue farm, Fire Flake Farm.
To see Angela on her rescue farm, Fire Flake Farm, surrounded by dogs, chickens, geese, and her pet pig, is to see her in her element. Looking at this furry, joyful family, you would never suspect that Angela and her pets were once full of aches, pains, and anxiety.
Angela is the founder of Miami Children’s Theater and Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine. She has a background in broadcast journalism and appeared on television and radio shows, including nationally syndicated Daytime. Despite her healthy lifestyle and busy schedule, in 2013 Angela was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Determined to find alternatives to the toxic medications she was offered, she turned to hemp. Once she identified a pure source for hemp in California, her life changed forever. Angela spent the following years working diligently to educate people about hemp and fighting for its legalization in Florida.
In 2016, Angela earned a professional certification in Medical Hemp biology and the therapeutic uses from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. That year, she hosted Canna Conference to educate doctors, veterinarians and patients about the positive effects of medical hemp and how hemp reacts in the endocannabinoid system.
Angela spent two years searching for ethical, safe hemp farmers in Colorado and found trusted partners, including an essential oils expert who has produced plant-based products for over 30 years, and hemp expert and Broadway performer Hernando Umana. In June 2018, Angela launched Hemp Dog Health and its line of full spectrum hemp extract for dog products. The passage of the Farm Bill that same year legalized hemp-growing in all 50 states, ensuring that these products will be available to the people and animals who need them most.
In 2019, Angela partnered with Hemp Radio to launch her pet-centric podcast, It’s a Dog’s Life. Airing every Monday, It’s a Dog’s Life features interviews with the nation’s top veterinarians and pet experts, including Dr. Bob Goldstein, Dr. Jean Hofve, and Dr. Dee Blanco.
Angela routinely travels the U.S. to speak at national pet events, including the Raw and Natural Dog Summit, The United States Hemp Conference, the Pets + Summit, and Pet Connections. Using her expertise on both hemp and pet care, Angela is dedicated to educating as many people as possible about the benefits of holistic pet care.
When Angela is not educating the public, you’ll find her at Fire Flake Farm. The farm not only provides a safe habitat for neglected and abused animals, but grows organic vegetables, microgreens and herbs. Additionally, Angela is the owner of Beautify The Beast, a natural grooming, pet boarding and retail shop.
Angela is active in the Society of Hemp Clinicians, Women Grow and United for Care. She is an activist for making safe, natural, ethically grown hemp and medical hemp available for people and animals. To learn more, visit www.angelaardolino.com.
Hernando Umana
CO-OWNER ~ CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
Father of Blanche an 8-year old mini Shih Tzu and senior rescue Linda, Hernando Umana is a Broadway performer in New York City and works tirelessly to share the benefits of hemp for dogs and cats with pet parents across the country.
Hernando first met Angela as a 15-year-old performing at The Miami Children’s Theater. Coming from a very low income family, he couldn’t afford the fees to be part of the production, but Angie never let a kid miss out on being in a show due to financial issues, so she made him a deal: if he helped paint sets, work in the costume shop or anything else needed for the production, he would be part of the show. She taught him the very important lesson that you can do and have everything and anything you want if you work hard. With her help, he went on to study in one of NYC’s best musical theatre programs, AMDA, where he graduated at the top of his class.
Despite his confidence and talent, Hernando found himself struggling after graduation. In a profession where anxiety is absolutely crippling, he wasn’t getting the kind of work he knew he should be getting. He did not want to turn to toxic medications and was searching for a way to treat his anxiety without scary side effects. Thankfully, during one of his many visits to Angie in Florida, she introduced him to hemp and he has never looked back. Four years later, he had opened two first national tours, been on Broadway, worked with Cyndi Lauper, Brendan Urie, Andrew Loyd Webber, and many others.
Once he had his feet planted in NYC, he adopted a Shih Tzu named Blanche and they fell madly in love. They were very similar in one way: anxiety. She had severe separation anxiety and was constantly causing disruption when left alone in hotels during Hernando’s national tours. After trying every remedy possible, he reached out to Angie for help. She happened to be entering the medical hemp industry and was working on a formulation to help dogs with anxiety, joint paint, inflammation and cancer. He was, of course, incredibly interested, and went deep into research. After learning how effective hemp is for dogs, he knew he wanted to give this solution to pet parents everywhere. So together, Angela and Hernando created Hemp Dog Health.
Hernando can now go to work knowing Blanche is not scratching and crying at the door. Instead, she’s laying comfortably in her bed. Hemp was life changing for both of them, and he could not be happier to be in a business doing something he loves so much that helps dogs like Blanche live a happy, stress free life.
